Mid-Autumn Festival

The Toastmasters meeting was filled with warmth and excitement as we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival. Our Meeting Managers Matrix & Lyfee gave us the opening remarks, welcoming all attendees and expressing gratitude for their presence.

Our Toastmaster of the Evening Jane then took the stage, introducing the theme and setting the tone for the evening’s festivities. Fun Facts Master Miracle shared us interesting Trivia about astronomy.

#PreparedSpeech
The first speech, titled “𝙔𝙀𝙎 𝙢𝙖𝙣 & 𝘽𝘼𝘿 𝙂𝙪𝙮,” was delivered by Balu Cheng. The speaker shared his unforgettable story of becoming a YES man.

The second speech, titled “𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙋𝙀 – 𝘼 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙍,” was delivered by Ruby Tuan. She shared her public relations strategies in her daily job, which also considered the achievement of employees.

Their speeches were evaluated by Queenie U & Terry Choy.

#TableTopics
The Table Topics Master Ida was particularly engaging, with participants sharing their favorite moon stories. Each speaker was given a prompt related to the moon. The impromptu speeches were showcasing the diverse perspectives and storytelling abilities of our members.

#HonoraryPresidentAward
The club was proud to present the PAG Honorary President Award to Herbert Lee. This prestigious award recognizes Herbert’s exceptional dedication and contributions to the club.

#Moongazing
After the meeting, the members gathered in front of the Science Museum to taste traditional mooncakes and enjoyed moongazing with Matrix’s astronomical telescope. The Toastmasters meeting had successfully celebrated the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, fostering a sense of camaraderie and cultural appreciation among the attendees.
